THE KIMBER RESEARCH GROUP

Welcome to the KIMBER GROUP: A Synthetic Organic Chemistry research group based at the Department of Chemistry, School of Science, Loughborough University.
THE CURRENT GROUP
Postgraduate students

Dolapo Bello - 2nd year PhD candidate
Dolapo undertook her undergraduate and an MSC in Nigeria, before moving to the UK to obtain a further MSc at Nottingham Trent. In April 2024 Dolapo started her Phd studies in our group where she is developing a new routes to antibiotics and natural products utilising photocatalysis.

Grzegorz Wardas - 3rd year PhD candidate
Greg obtained his MChem in 2022 from Loughborough University. After doing his MChem project in the Kimber lab, Greg returned to undertake PhD studies on a joint project in the laboratories of Dr. Paul Roach and the Kimber group. The project will centre on the development of novel 'lab-on-a-chip' technology for drug development applications.

Xinran Ge - +3rd year PhD candidate
Xinran (Jackie) completed his MSc at Loughborough in 2021 and joined the group in January 2022 to undertake his PhD studies on harnessing symmetry in polycyclic ether synthesis (with Dr. Gareth J. Pritchard)
